Mike Gravel’s ad, which I call “Gravel throws rock,” begins with the candidate staring into the camera for a full minute, turning around, grabbing a rock the size of a volleyball and heaving it into a pond, then walking along the pond for another full minute. This post-modern ad is a true masterpiece.
